About DugSpot
Welcome to DugSpot, my place online. I’m a husband, father, and recovering lawyer who’s been working as a foreign policy wonk for more than a decade. I’m also a committed Catholic Christian, who was received formally into the Church in 1993, after many formative years in nondenominational Evangelicalism, for which I remain grateful.
This blog is intended as an outlet for periodic rambles, musings, and observations that may or may not be of interest to people other than me. If you’re reading this and you’re not me, then I’ve been at least partially successful. In younger, headier days, I savored the thought of writing learned books of insightful devotional theology and apologetics. But age and the welcome demands of lives other than my own have pared those daydreams down to something far more modest and commensurate with my limited abilities (and free time). So, instead of concocting hearty theological feasts, I aspire to assembling bits and bites, which some may find tasty and nourishing. Sort of like tapas for the soul.
Thank you for the gift of your attention. I hope you find it rewarded, even if only in some small way, by my humble offerings. May God’s grace be with us all.
